I confess I am sometimes more passionate than I am informed, but I am committed to changing this. I’ve just downloaded a new (free) app recommended by my friend and audiobook recording engineer @karlyndaigle. It makes being informed very, very easy – you can drill down to the full text of upcoming bills, see who sponsored them, when they’re coming up for debate, and how the votes are going. No yelling or taking sides, just straightforward facts. If a healthy democracy hinges on an informed electorate – all of us, on all sides – then I’m going to roll up my sleeves and do my part.
