A week from today I’ll be telling the story of yarn at @vogueknitlive in NYC. Here’s a slide from my talk. Can you guess what it’s trying to explain? Besides just how gorgeous yarn is, I mean? EDIT: @knitterbree got it! This is the same yarn straight off the cone from the mill and after it’s been washed. You must wash yarn when it comes from the mill, even if you don’t plan on dyeing it. Otherwise the oils make it flat flat flat. (Or in modern parlance, #SAD.) #sundayyarnlessonsofknitlandia
