When we got this place, the previous owner became super sentimental about a chandelier right before closing. They seemed worried I’d make it a deal breaker, but I told them to have it, please, and may they always be happy beneath it. Well, they divorced within the year. I have no idea what happened to the chandelier. I found a charming replacement at a salvage shop, but it sat on the floor for years while I waited for any residual bad juju to pass.
