Today we learned all about barometric pressure and practiced more knots and learned how to anchor a boat. And then we sailed out to an island, tested our anchoring skills, went ashore for a swim and a picnic, and spent the rest of the afternoon making very circuitous routes back to the harbor, our four little boats scattered about like distracted ducklings—only with short-wave radios. I’m exhausted and sunburned and the ground is still moving and I couldn’t be happier.
