Keeping on the wool trail, I nearly lost my mind at @portlanddrygoods today. Besides the denim and the flannel and the chambray and the leather and the canvas…they had wool. Lots and lots of wool. Not American wool, but wool from other wool countries and mostly manufactured in those same wool countries. Including amazing Merino base layers and sweaters from Norway that you’ll have a hard time finding anywhere else in the U.S. While primarily for men, they’ve added a women’s room with Barbour coats and Blundstone boots and cashmere and alpaca and a few wool sweaters and a $1,000 wool coat that almost killed me. I didn’t actually buy anything from that room but I sure did leave happy. Sometimes just touching the stuff is all you need. #wooltoucher
